While tax updates occur year-round, some months seem to have more updates than others. That’s why we’ve highlighted these 7 tax updates from September below:
- Wisconsin: 2016 Unemployment taxable wage base will remain at $14,000. We confirmed this with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
- Texas: 2016 Unemployment taxable wage base will remain at $9,000. We confirmed this with the Texas Workforce Commission.
- Arkansas: 2016 Unemployment taxable wage base will remain at $12,000. We confirmed this with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Development.
- Oklahoma: State unemployment taxable wage base will increase to $17,500 effective January 1, 2016. We confirmed this with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.
- Alabama: The AL Form A4-E – Withholding Tax Exemption Certificate is no longer valid.
